This was brought to Singapore during the 1987 Ju Ming show at the National Museum, organized by Constance Sheares. Two works remained in Singapore after that show, this one, and a twin, kept for many years at the National Museum.
Location Notes:
Originally placed in front of the HDB Headquarters in Bukit Merah, it was removed when the HQ was moved to Toa Payoh. It is now indoors at the HDB Headquarters office.

strange symbolism for the HDB
I always read this as a housing board applicant reaching for title to his house, and the government official keeping it away from him. Hehe.
